An Insider’s Guide On The 5 Best Shopping Sites In and Near Rovigo

Check out these 5 best shopping sites in and near Rovigo if you’re planning to move to or simply visit the city.

Despite being a relatively small city in Italy, there are several shopping sites in Rovigo you can visit anytime. Although not as massive and luxurious as some of the malls in tourist cities like Venice, it’s always a fun experience to check out what you can find in a new city.

In fact, these shopping sites tend to cater to the local market, so it’s better not to expect your favourite large-scale luxury brands to make an appearance here. However, you’ll find products that best fit your day-to-day needs. So, if you’re planning to move to Rovigo, here are some budget-friendly and hassle-free shopping sites in and near Rovigo.

La Fattoria

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 20:30 | Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00

As the largest shopping center in Rovigo, the La Fattoria Shopping Center has always been my first choice for buying things. Compared to other malls within the city, the La Fattoria has a significantly more extensive selection of brands and restaurants. You can find a number of international clothing brands like H&M, Champion, and Clayton, along with tons of restaurants, from McDonalds to Bimi Sushi, if you’re craving foreign cuisine.

There’s also a cinema in the shopping mall, so if you’re looking to spend some quality time with your friends or loved ones, you should check it out.

Also, the official site’s interactive map of the mall is a great guide in case you’re lost or looking for something specific and prefer to find it directly.

Aliper

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 8:15 to 20:30 | Sunday from 8:30 to 19:30

If you’re determined to stay within Rovigo for your shopping needs, the Aliper is probably your best bet next to La Fattoria, in my experience. This is more of a large supermarket than a traditional “mall,” but it’s still a convenient choice for grocery shopping, having several decent stores both inside and near the hub.

Firstly, I was happy to see an ample amount of parking space, which I expect visitors with their own vehicles will appreciate. You’ll also find a bakery and grocery selection, to purchase daily products.

One thing I did notice during my shopping was that the deli was regularly empty, but it wasn’t anything serious. I hope that it’s restocked now with world-famous Italian cuisine.

Il Porto

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00

Although II Porto isn’t in Rovigo, I still consider it a must-visit mall in Adria, a small city that’s a 30-minute drive from Rovigo. It’s one of the few malls in the province that rivals La Fattoria in size, having tons of international brands and restaurants.

It was a bit tricky to navigate through the area because of tighter corridors, which is why I wouldn’t recommend going there on the weekend as it can crowded. Aside from that, though, it was a superb experience.

The mall is separated into two services—the Gallery and the Interspar. The Gallery offers a variety of international stores, food outlets, and leisure spaces.

On the other hand, the Interspar hypermarket, located at the center of II Porto, has a wide range of products, from fresh and clean produce to small handheld electronics and clothing items. The mall has almost everything you’ll need, so whether you’re looking for local or internationally branded items, you’ll find it here.

Centro Commerciale Il Faro

Opening hours for the mall: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 20:00 | Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00

Opening hours for Iper-Rossetto: Monday to Saturday from 8:30 to 20:00 | Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00

Located in the city of Giacciano con Baruchella, a 25-minute drive from Rovigo, you’ll find the Centro Commerciale Il Faro, one of the most visually appealing shopping cities in the province. With over 45 stores in the mall, it’s a haven for anyone looking for a complete experience coupled with several additional services like free Wi-Fi, a nursery, and even a medical center. It’s also highly accessible since you can reach it via the SS 434 Transpolesana bus service.

The main attraction here is definitely the Iper-Rossetto, a massive grocery store in the Centro Commerciale Il Faro that’s packed with freshly stocked goods. The mall is clean, with competitive prices that were sometimes better than La Fattoria, so, if you want to save up some extra money, keep that in mind,

Centro Commerciale La Piazza

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00

The last thing you want when in a foreign country is to spend hours trying to find the place you’re looking for. This is where the Centro Commerciale La Piazza shines. It’s conveniently located on the A13 Highway in Occhiobello, a city that is also roughly a 30-minute drive from Rovigo.

This is one of the two La Piazzas in Italy, and while the Occhiobello mall isn’t as big as the one in Venice, it still offers a lovely shopping experience.

I loved the vibrancy and natural atmosphere of this mall. Most of the products sold here were extremely delicate. Although the brand selection isn’t as massive as the malls mentioned previously, this is arguably one of the best shopping sites near Rovigo to buy Italian-crafted artistry, such as bouquets.

Conclusion

Because the Rovigo province is fairly small, it’s much easier to get to shopping sites in other areas outside the Rovigo city within the region. At most, you’ll need an hour-long drive to get to the farthest mall, which is manageable, especially if you own a car.

However, unless you’re focused on exploring every outlet within Rovigo, most of the malls have ample goods at affordable prices. As such, it’s rare to go out of your way to find a specific product, at least in my experience.
