Even more enticing, after two years of residence on this visa, many can apply for Italian citizenship. This is a dramatically shorter timeline than the standard 10 years. What the New Decree Does In a nutshell, Italy now allows certain foreign nationals with Italian ancestry to enter and work in Italy outside of the normal immigration quotas.
