Despite being a fairly large city, Terni is a quiet, well-served place to live<\/strong>. It has plenty of parks, restaurants, services, and a walkable centre. But most of all, it’s great for anyone who prioritizes nature:<\/strong> just outside the city, there are medieval hill towns, vineyards, and cycling paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terni is well connected. The closest airport is Perugia \u2013 San Francesco d’Assisi<\/strong>, about 42 minutes away. It’s a small regional airport with seasonal routes, so you likely won’t use it for long-haul travel. One of the most sought-after areas is Zona Poeti<\/strong>. It has plenty of green spaces, parking that’s not a nightmare, and it’s close to the commercial area. The historic centre and Zona Italia are also popular choices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of factory work, office jobs, hospitality, and retail, there isn’t much. Several residents mention it directly, and the data backs it up: this is a city where young Italians leave precisely because the opportunities aren’t there. For expats who are retired, have revenu \u00e0 distance<\/a><\/strong>, or aren’t dependent on the local labour market, this is irrelevant.
