I love it because it’s small, far less touristy than others, and surrounded by charming little towns like Orta San Giulio, Pella, and Arona (which is lovely but a bit more expensive). Borgomanero isn’t right on the lake, but it’s just a 15-minute drive away and offers a high quality of life. It’s not touristy at all, making it ideal if you want to immerse yourself in authentic Italian living.
